    2. Panzer Grenadier Regiment 156 signature

    Hello,

I have this signature written in a soldbuch.
The companie commander in oktober 1944 was Triantaphyllides.
But this one is hard to read. I can read several names in it.

I like to hear some other opinions.

Well, I can see the 'Tri' at the start of the signature so it could well be Triantaphyllides.

I think you are right, that this is indeed his signature.
Looks like an interesting Soldbuch, Floris!
Maybe you can show us more of this Soldbuch?

Ofcourse you have the first right of refusal

If I read his signature right I think he shortened his signature a bit to: Triantaph.

Here's some more pictures of the soldbuch.
Thanks a lot to Rick for purchasing this one!

Nijmegen is here written as Nymwegen.

This letter was send to his mother.
Inside is written that after an attack most of his company didn't return and were most likely taken prisson near De Lar = De Laar.

                    Floris,

Once again you produce another beautiful piece (a bit too far north for your collection).

I also believe this is Triantaphyllides signature. He was the company commander and was even captured himself on the 5th Oct 1944. All in my book of course

                    Nice book!!!

                    Scott

                      Thanks for your reply Scott.
I new this one must have your interrest.
Yours book has been a help with this one.

Don't worry I'am not focussing on the Arnhem area.
And it seems that the next Arnhem related soldbuch/wehrpass on the e-stand here will be yours.
