Wehrpass and documents to Lt Wolpers

I would just like to share this grouping I got to Lt Wolpers a few days ago with you guys. He served in the RAD from 1936 until 1938, then was in the army being promoted from Gefreiter to Lt by the end of the campaign in the West. After a mere 7 days after Barbarrosa he died on 29.6.1941.

I would also appreciate some help in translating the few battle entries as the writing is almost illegible!

On the 'Im Kriege Verwundungen' page the first entry lists the date of death and the place, Wlodawa and was made on4.7.1941. However, the second entry was made by a Hauptmann on the day of his death 29.6.1941....does it state 'died of wounds in xxx lazarrett'?

The top wound page entry is the same as the one below, except the lower one is more detailed. The 4th July 1941 is the date the entry was made. The top one is by his company, the lower by the Wehrbezirkskommando after the WP had been sent back for forwarding to his next-of-kin.

                      Hi Gary,

Than you very much for your help thus far....I wish I knew where to look, as I now see that the stamp was by the Bezirkskommando -

Look forward to getting the rest, of the battle entries; again much appreciated.

As luck would have it I have both the divisional histories (19 ID and 267 ID). The action in which he was wounded is referred to in 267. ID's history as 'Das Blutbad von Maloryta'.

According to the history 1./ Pi. 267 was attached to IR 487 for the attack that began on 26th June. By the 28th June IR 497 had lost 86 dead, 77 wounded and 3 missing. The estimate of enemy dead was 1350 (the attack also comprised of IR 467 and elements of IR 487.
