had been serving in the Wehrmacht consisting of the italian Royal Army stragglers
and loyal to the fascist idea; aprox. 20.000 italian soldiers fought in the german Flak
      batteries.

"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".

                    Frank,

some collectors think that the use of J for Jtalien is ok
imho not is correct this. In this thread the same point of view
of an german collector about an dog tag.

                      Hello Raffaello,

thanks a lot for information, know i understand.
I also found 3 dog tags with the "Jtal C" Stamp, yesterday the first with "Ital C".
I found all dog tags together with other stuff (visor eagle, belt buckle, bajonett); and i also know the history of this place and the italian volunteers.

                      Best Regards,
                      Frank

I'm glad you found a lot of this with your hands. I had already read
your thread on italian finds; good luck for the next.

However, all i want to say is that the Jtal stamp is not a sign for a bad dog tag.
If someone has further information about the "C",i would be glad to hear these.

                          best regards,
                          Frank
