In a word "No". The Soldbuch is unlikely to contain any information that would establish this fact. Kampfgruppe Spindler was a unit put together at a few hours notice so had no specific identification stamps etc. The kriegsstammrollnummer won't help. Seems he served with the Regiments Stab so there is a good chance he was with the Kampfgruppe but we can't be certain. The Security check 3. Oktober 1944 is signed by Ustuf Mayer, former Ordonnanz Offizier,SS-Pz. Art Rgt 9.

I must admit I have seen soldbuchs with Kampfgruppe's mentioned in them but they are few and far between. Regarding this one, I would be willing to put money on the fact that he was in the Battle of Arnhem. Considering Mayer signed the soldbuch on 3rd Oct 1944, and the unit was in Arnhem, would suggest that he was there. Replacements during this time were sent direct to Siegen where the unit reconstituted after the battle and not to Arnhem. Nice little one to have and would be interesteded in adding this to my collection if you were ever to depart with it.
Cheers
Scott
