    12 SS "Hitlerjugend" soldbuch

    Hello all,

I want to share this soldbuch I got some months ago...

This very young Panzermann was in the 12 SS panzer regiment of the 12 SS panzer division "Hitlerjugend". The only soldbuch I have seen from this regiment.

He was born in the Bayern the 9.5.25 .
He started his "SS life" into the SS-Pz.Gren.Ausb.u.Ers.Btl.10 the 10.8.43.
Was formed in the known Panzer school at Sennelayer.
He entered the SS panzerdivision "Hitlerjugend" the end of 1943 (december I think).

The 1.5.44 he got his pitol, a M35 Vis Radom number "D8006".

He got the EKII the 1.5.45 (can see the ribon under his portrait foto). He finished the war as SS-Strummann.

    Unfortunately missing the 3/4 page.

    Best regards
    Dimitri D.

This is indeed a very beautiful soldbuch of an interesting unit.
However,it is a shame that page 4 is lacking
But happely page 24, with the contol stamps is still present.

            12 ss-div. Hj soldbuch

I have owned a few 12 SS-Pz.Div. soldbuchs in the past, but never one related to the Pz.Rgt. Very nice & interesting book!!! I really like the EKII ribbon stapled below the ID photo. The unit entries for the Pz.Rgt. are neatly printed, which makes it more easily read; I agree, it's too bad that pages 3/4 are missing, but as already mentioned, page 25 is still intact with the Pz.Rgt. 12 info. Nice Hitlerjugend Div. stamps. A very outstanding SS soldbuch!!!

            Best regards,

            Tom

As already mentioned a really nice Soldbuch you have there Dimitri.

Interestingly the rank authorising the EK II entry is a Leutnant und Kompanie Führer! Was he Heer or using his Heer equivelant rank? Or of course the entry was made in PoW camp.

                FP Nr. 57418
                (12.3.1943-7.9.1943) 1. Kolonne SS-Panzer-Regiment 12 (H.J.)
                (8.9.1943-22.4.1944) 1.3.1944 1. Kolonne Panzer-Regiment 12 (12. SS-Division).

The FP Nr. on page 1 is 59043
                (12.3.1943-7.9.1943) Stab I u. Einheit SS-Panzer-Regiment 12 (H.J.),
                (8.9.1943-22.4.1944) 1.3.1944 Stab I u. Einheit Panzer-Regiment 12 (12. SS-Division).

I have four Soldbücher to "HJ" Division and was lucky enough to know two of the former holders.

                /Ian

Nice and rare Soldbuch. I'm just wondering why this document didn't catch much attention when this thread was started 2 1/2 years ago?

Btw., does someone have Untersturmführer Albert Hartung (3 Btl., Pz Gren Rgt 25 of 12. SS Pz Div HJ) in the books?

                          Regards

Thanks, Ian. Could you also decipher the signature on the EK II entry? ..Scheid?

Albert Hartung was technischer Führer im Kraftfahrwesen, don't think he would have signed many books. Do you have a book with his signature? Hopefully you could share it with us (or me privately: bveforschung@gmail.com, I make private research to this division and could also help with your questions).
