Ian, on Page 17, what does the last posting abreviation stand for, "1.BLK. 4.R.L.A."?

You had me thinking then as I had not posted a page 17, however you are referring to collani's Wehrpaß.

1 BLK. 7 K.L.A, Danzig - 1 Baulehrkompanie, 7 Kriegsschiffbaulehrabteilung, Danzig

Basically it is the Construction Company for new War Ships based in Danzig.

Interestingly according to this page: http://www.ubootwaffe.net/ops/boat.cgi?boat=182 U-182 was built by 6 K.L.A.!?

Sorry about that Ian, but thanks for answering anyway. My reference books also indicate that U-182 was built in Bremen. Another mystery I guess.

This was his first and one and only Soldbuch.

The early Navy Soldbuch version with the eagle facing the wrong side.

No red or purple U-stamp to be find on page 1.

He served on Uboats already before the Spanish civil war.

Also a replaced photo during the war, as shown by examples from Ian.

Some nice signatures in this Soldbuch.......do you recognize them.....some survived, some killed : in action and executed......
