    Hi Jason,

For Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine that was:

    Illness group XVI. External influence.
    179a: Wounds

For Wehrmacht that fell into the same illness group but was recatagorised as 31.

      Hi Ian,

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. The code was entered into a Heer soldier's Soldbuch by a doctor at Marinelazarett Mürwik, which explains why 179a was used rather than 31a.

      All the best,
      Jason

        Hello Stormfighter,

What material is this that you are referencing from? Is this a published wartime book or feild manual?

How about 141d? This from a IR510/Gren Regiment 582 ID.

If it is anything like the Kriegsmarine Code for 141d then it is Impetigo which would be number 25 in the Heer code list.

As Kev has mentioned the Kriegsmarine Krankheitsnummber 141d isImpetigo contagiosa - contagious Impetigo. This was illness 25 for Wehrmacht during WWII as diseases of the skin.

Prewar 134-141 fell under the catatgory XI for diseases of the skin, however WWII it came under the one number.

It is worth noting that Kriegsmarine kept their numbering system throughout the war number 1-196 whereas the rest of the Wehrmacht used a table 1-36.

                        Hello friends,
Sorry if not the correct thread.
I have a Wehrpass 1940 for a guy who is declared / stamped:
                        A. V. heimat , I know what that means,
But there is , above that stamp an extra small round red stamp with: Sch.

Who knows what the Sch. Stamp means ?

                        Thanks
                        Peter

                            Hello Ian,
                            Thanks for the fast reply.
I can't post images after the debacle of that wellknown service, but I think you're right.

In 1942 the man was reexamined an this time classified as: G. v. Heimat
Above that stamp, there is an other, this time with the full text SCHIRMBILD.

The Wehrmacht tauglichkeit classification was, as you know, changed end of 1943.

A s by miracle, this man became the 7th of June 1944: bedingt K. V. (Without being called to arms by the Wehrmacht), but they still found him end 1944 when he was drafted into the Volkssturm...

                            Peter
