    Panzer Soldbuch Please Post Battles

Wanted to see please, entries showing battles for Panzer members.

I was recently interviewing a Panzer vet and I would like to find more information from other regiments.

My friend is from Regt 31, here are his battles all on the Eastern Front.

He was on the Ostfront for 7 months in the hotest of zones and had only 13 'official' battles. I would really like to see more to ascertain what other regiments experienced.

I think the main reason you have not had any replies is that it is not exactly a common entry in the Soldbuch counting for these days...
I can show you plenty of days counting for close combat in Infanty/Grenadier Soldbücher but I can not think of any Panzer that I have with these entries in.
Perhaps three days counting for the Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber, but all combat entries I have for Panzer are in the Wehrpaß, and not individual combat days!

Thanks Ian. I met my friend, the Panzer Vet and interviewed him last week. We spent quite a while together and he made a comment to me that I couldn't shake. I suppose I'll say it here as this thread is fairly obscure based so far on the posts.

We were talking about his Silver Tank Badge and I asked him about the 25 Tank Badge. That's when he produced his Buch.

He laughed and said I had no idea how difficult it was to get a 'battle' recorded as an entry that would count toward that badge. Now this guy fought the LAST seven months of the war from the Eastern Front back to East Prussia.

So, I asked him how many of the guys he fought with had the numbered badges. He told me all through his experience in the war he saw two maybe three of them.

So, I've been trying to determine if that was his division/regiment being hard nosed or that's the way it was.

Looking carefully through all the Panzer books I have and the ones he has, you see very very few of the numbered panzer badges.

Not crying fire in the crowded theater here...

I can show you number assault badges and for Panzer they are quite scarce....but not the combat pages to go with them!

Here is an example of the "50" assault badge to a member of schwere Panzer Abtelung 502.
