    My Newest Soldbuch

    Hi,

Just thought that I would share with you guys my newest Soldbuch, to an Infantry Obergefreiter Paul Witt. The Soldbuch itself is in poor condition, with the pages being detached from each other and the book, although being readable. However, the soldbuch is very well filled out, containing some close combat listings too.

    Any comments appreciated.

            Nice David

He wasn't too good at dodging shrapnel and bullets was he?

I can't make out all his awards but did he get the Gold wound badge for all those?

                Hi Simon,

Thanks for the comments; the only awards he got were the black and silver wound badges, despite all his injuries.

The 197.ID, I guess. Fought mostly in the East. Very nice Soldbuch.
Poor condition ? Perfect condition, I say !! If he had lost his Soldbuch; you will only have a duplicata. This soldier was able to bring back this document from the East... not possible to everybody !

                    David,

nice Soldbuch. The awards Witt won were the Black and Silver Wound badge. For the Gold he would have had to been wound more than 5 times and or lost a limb. The pieces of paper you have is one of the forms that a solider would have to fill out to prove qualification for an award (no...Assualt badges were not just given out - you had to prove that you earned them...)

                    Erich

                          Hi,

Could anyone tell me the value of this Soldbuch as I need to sell it in order to raise some funds.

                          Thanks in advance.

                            Hello Dp,

You will probably get different valuations, but I would say between 50-75 Eur at most.

                            Regards
