    Jim,

forget that about the Treukette as post 5 mentions it:

Der Ehrfau des Soldbuchinhabers wurde am 24.12.44 die Fallschirmjäger Treukette verliehen.

Ian, thanks for deciphering the Suterlin script, was it common that the "Fallschirmjäger Treuekette" was entered into the Soldbuch? I have never seen this entry before.

I have reserved all of the decorations and pick them up tomorrow. They are mounted on a pillow and the family is looking for the rest of his photos.

      all the best,

      Jim

        Jim,

I have seen a few entries in Soldbuch for the Treukette but no idea how common it is. I would hazard a guess that it is not particularly common in Soldbuch!
Mostly I see the groups with documents only.

        Either way bloody nice group!

Incidentally I found your old post re: the Treukette

I picked up the FJ badge and other medals this morning and now the group is more or less complete except for photos that the family is still looking for (possibly next week!). The medals had been mounted on a pillow for years and at least the two iron crosses have not been polished.

Here is the document to his wife which is entered on page 6 of the Soldbuch along with the Treuekette.

Congratulations on a very complete group. If recently passed away then judging from his birth date and military service Herr Theobald apparently had a very long and full life.

                Hi Ian !

I know about 5 or 6 FJ-groups with soldbooks and awarded "Treuekette" to wife of mother. Each of these soldbooks has the entry for the "FJ-Treuekette". I think, it can be said, that NORMALLY the entry in the soldbook was made.

                Very nice group indeed !

                Kind regards,

                Peter

Very nice grouping! Can you please post a closeup of the 2 EK's?

Hank, I haved promised not to put anything else on as I am in the midst of a deal with this group which does not quite fit in my collection but the "GD" Panzer that I will be getting does.

                    best regards,

                    Jim

I think it is interesting that he had a Kreta cufftitle with no entry in his Soldbuch.
