                and Paul falls precisely immediately after the landing in Sicily .... just north of Gela (a map of the many landing to mark the place of the HG) ....

                July 12, 1943, the battle in the plain of Gela where the HG and the Livorno Division had unsuccessfully fought back to counter and thrown back overboard Americans .....
                the map shows above where was the Gren. Reg. 2 of Paul that July 12, about between Caltagirone and Granmichele to defend the road to Catania .... probably our young grenadiers fell under the heavy naval and aerial bombardment to which she was subjected division

                      and an envelope dated a year later: arrived to the Giefer family in September 1944 from the Wast ; most likely inside the envelope was this Soldbuch, and some letters ....

                        the letters they confirm Chei Paul died July 12, 1943 and is buried in the cemetery of Comiso ....

                        They are almost certainly information that the Wast received, exactly one year later, by the Americans via the Swiss Red Cross behind the research of Paul's family, where throught the Red Cross, the Allied return his Soldbuch and indicating the place of burial ...
