The crew were killed in an accident. Page 34 states:

Tödlich agbestürzt - Fatal crash.

The unit had transferred from the front and was going through conversion to the He 177. They were based at the airfield Burg bei Magdeburg.

Incidentally the entries are closed by the Squadron Commander, Hauptmann und Staffelführer Schröder.

Thanks for that information Ian. I really do appreciate everybody's time. I took some photos from the album. Standard Luftwaffe "my time in service" album. Although there are only about 10 photos, it certainly gives it the human touch. The scans are "flashed" out on purpose

Interestingly he is wearing the uniform of Wetterdienst Inspekteur but his Wehrpaß only seems to record his permanent rank of Gefreiter and Unterführer Anwärter. Unless there are other entries you did not show?

give me a clue as to what pages you want to see Ian. It's filled out a lot, and I just picked the ones i thought were important

It there are more entries that's ok, thought you had shown them all!
Difficult to say what page it could be on as if it packed with entries they could put them on supplement pages, however ranks/promotions should be on pages 22-23 or 37-38, if not on the Nachträge pages 26-27 (main). Failing that even 35, 46-51 but these tended to be medical entries, combat, awards, even promotions if the other pages are full!
