Wehrpass and soldbuch from Inf. Div 710

    Hi!
I`m trying to find information of infanterie- division 710 (740), which were stationed in Norway and sent to Italy in 1944. Any information from soldbuch or other documents are of interest.

Here is some basic info about the Division:
    http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...onen/710ID.htm

And here a Soldbuch that has been sold:

I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

Interesting that he was assigned to the regiments jagdkommando. A good chance he was assigned to operations hunting for resistance groups.

Whilst he was in Norway of course. He might also have been a trained skier having been in such a unit.

                      Fighting Titos Partisans

I read somewhere that inf div 710 was used to fight partisans in the Yugoslav/ Italian border in Feb/March 1945. Do you know anything about that?

No, my interest in the division ends once it left Norway.

It was quite common for units in Norway and Finland to create light, mobile jagd kommandos or jagd kompanien for long range patrolling in difficult terrain.
