Do you know something about his wartime career? I wonder how a judge could be mixed in combat, and several times as he received not only a bravery medal, that could be won in an emergency moment, but the Sturmabzeichen, proving at least three days in combat.

    Cheers

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Ian-- this is cetainly an eye opener-- a "combat" Judge Advocate indeed!! I would never have believed it-- a General Assault Badge on a court martial judge! Still shaking my head...

I have the documents for a WW-ONE Kriegsgerichtsrat... and he was never anywhere in closer than divisional HQ, EK1 to the contrary...

all I can say is... Wow!

Dont forget, the Inf assault badges can be awarded without you having fired a shot. it sufices to have been part of the assault, and I suspect this could be somewhat loosly applied to staff officers.
