Here also a small contribution from me in this topic. 2 Soldbucher of the 5. Fallschirmjäger Division, the unit which I collect.
The first SB is from a Unteroffizier in the Fallschirm Panzer Jäger Abteilung 5. Holder of the Kriegsverdienstenkreuz m. Schw. II Klasse, German / Italian Kriegserinnerungsmedaille, Goldkordel zum Ärmeltätigkeitsabzeichen der Luftwaffe, Geschwaderband "Horst Wessel" and the Armelband "Afrika".
The second pass is not very special but striking is the photo in the booklet. In the photo, the soldier, has his eyes closed.
He was in the Fallschirm Feldersatz Battalion 5 and was also present in the Bulge.
But taken off the line mid January 1945 due to Sepsis or gangrene.
In March 1945 he was transferred to the Fallschirmjäger Ersatz Bataillon 3, and recieved a FJ Helmet.
Kind regards,
Nick

Nicolas, here is another BotB soldbuch i just got:
Theodor Glatt, he was KIA on 24-12-1944.
His last unit was Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment 74, from the 2. Panzer-Division.
Pretty nasty soldbuch, especialy in the back flap of the soldbuch
It has a schrapnell hole that went through the whole soldbuch.
Including a bunch of papers in the back, which have never been seperated since this event (they still glue to each other because of the blood).
On the square paper in the back his batterieführer wrote that Theodor shot down 2 American Mustangs on the 9th of May, 1944.
No medals written in the soldbuch.Attached FilesI'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

Does anyone know what Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment 74 had as weapons?
Was only the first Bataillon motorized artillerie (Sfl) or also the others?I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
