    Police and SS stuff

    Hi everyone,

Got all of this today. About 20 police passes, three police Soldbücher, a bunch of police IDs and tons of paper stuff, mostly SS related.
Some passes are really nice with close combat entries and "Bandenkämpfe" in the Ukraine etc. I also like the IAB doc to a missing soldier.

It will take time until I am thru all of it, but I bet it will be fun digging and researching thru this pile.

That is a very nice and rare grouping- especially with Nahkampftagen! Is there a Nahkampfspange entry?

                Hi PzV,

There is no entry for a close combat clasp but an IAB entry. he served with teh regular Schutzpolizei first, in 43 he was drafted by the SS police.

There is so much paper, it will take some time to check if any of the award docs fit to a pass or not.

A few of the Dienstpässe are standard issue, no awards, no combat entries or battles, but they are still cool and in great shape, some of them were issued to people from other countries, like Serbia or from people of the Sudetengau.

Anyway, I better get going and puzzle a little more.

The award document for the Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen seems to belong to a member of the Feuerschutzpolizei! I´ve never seen something like this before! I would really be interested how somebody of the fire brigade could earn a Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen!!!!
Is there also a Dienstpass belonging to the man??

                      Lambert,

Maybe he got the drivers badge for driving the fire engine? Just a thought.
Unfortunately there is no other document related to this man.

Yes, but this hat to be either over long distances in hard conditions or under enemy threat and that is quite astonishing for a fire engine!
This document seems to be a little unique pice of history!!!! VERY NICE!!!!!!!

This document is interesting too, one because of the unit he served in and two, because the person who was supposed to get this award was missing.

Does anyone know more about the unit? I mean they were probably forward observers in armored vehicles?

                            Thanks,
