    Possible Police Wehrpass?

I'm doing some research on a Wehrpass I recently bought, and came across something interesting on the volksbund website. I think they are the same person. There are unfourtunatly not too many entries in the wehrpass. Nothing under units or combat entries (nothing after pg5). I can't quite read what is listed under practiced or learnt profession.

Assuming I've got the right man on the volksbund site, is Revieroberwachtmeister a police rank? Looks like he was killed (MIA) around Vilnius in Lithuania around the time of the Vilnius offensive (05-13. July. 1944). Were German uniformed police stationed in occupied countries? What would be have been doing there? Any leads to possibly doing more research on this man?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Thomas,

There is no doubt that the Wehrpaß owner and the information from the Volksbund are from one and the same person.

    He was a mechant employee.

    Revieroberwachtmeister is a police rank.

The reason why there aren't too many entries in the Wehrpaß is that such information would be written in his Polizei Dienstbuch.

He is missing since 13.07.1944 in the Vilnius area.

Yes German uniformd police was stationed in the occupied contries.

    yours friendly
