      Hi Ian
Does the (L) mean, that the unit was a Luftwaffe unit?
      Thanks

The Division was formed 1.11.1943 in north Russia (Ladoga) after renaming and transferring from Luftwaffe control to the Heer (Army). Originally formed end of 1942 as Luftwaffen Feld Division 12 at Bergen near Celle.

The (L) denotes it was a Luftwaffe unit..........

              Hi Christian,

This was taken from Tessin's volumes....well the unedited version at least!
