I know some will roll their eyes at this but...This SB is dirty and looks like it had been pulled from the mud. It's as basic as it gets and I can't even see if he received any awards. Under the back flap is a US armored patch and a free pass leaflet. I purchased it from a collector who "claimed" that this is how it came from the family. The purchase was back in the 70's when they typically ran $10 [if you wanted SS they were $100]. My question is if anyone else has experienced anything like this or is it just salting the item?
