In many cases, the less of late entry can indicate that the owner was POW, but in many cases also, the reason is because german unit's administration had not enough time to fill the book. It is very common for the awards, who were not always written in the Wp. Note also that many Wp were lost on the battlefield, destroyed or left with the trucks of administration. In that case, the lost or destruction was sometimes reported in the Sb.
