    Christmas presents part 1

    I have been a good boy along the year so Santa Claus bring me a couple of these little books a like so much.

    First is the Wehrpass to Oberfeldwebel Heinrich Egerth.

    He was born on September 3rd, 1.913 and his profesion was plumber, he was a good catholic and was married on March 23rd, 1.940.

    He felt that his duty was to defend his fatherland during wartime, so he enlisted as war volunteer.

      His combat unit was always a company belonging to Inf.Rgt. 508

        His leadership was clearly seen by his superiors and also his bravery, not only he won both EKs but he was promoted for bravery in the face of the enemy to Oberfeldwebel.

          He was also a TDB winner and the company clerk had no idea of the real name of the award so he decided to let it to improvisation, not bad at all.

            Unafortunately our brave NCO could not see the end of the war, he meet death on March 28th, 1.943

              His soldier career not ended with his death as he received posthumously, but not notated in this book, the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on April 9th, 1.943.

                      Attila, I'm now negotiating my birthday present and will be a very nice one and surely arrives some months earlier, probably end of January, I promise I show it here, in the dopcuments and in the medals forum, it's a really huge one and very interesting.
