I picked this up today and found it interesting that an Army soldier was transferred to the HG (the annotation is at the bottom of page 1)

                  Hello PzV,
Nice soldbuch. When the HG Brigade was expanded to a division size in 1943, experienced officers and NCOs were 'volunteered' from both the Luftwaffe and the Heer to fill the ranks. Chances are that is when your NCO found himself in the HG.
It is interesting that although RGG/HG soldiers volunteered for 12 year periods, I often see early RGG/HG soldiers transferred in and out of RGG/HG, while I never see soldiers transferred out of GD units?
                  THank you for sharing,
                  Curtiss

Curtiss, thanks for the information as I found that transfer interesting also. I have another unusual group where the soldier transferred from the Luftwaffe to the Panzer and there is a strange combination of Luftwaffe and Panzer documents!
