Dog Tag with a Bullet Hole

Hi,
Just want to get an opinion about this dog tag. Looks like flak unit?
Is it a bullet hole or maybe could be something else as there are some smaller holes near the biggest one?

IMO splinter. The other damage makes me think it's probably splinter, not a bullet hole. What I've seen bullet tends to make clean round holes with its round tip. The hole in this is roundish ,yes, but not round. Also the exist side has the metal bent in several directions as for bullet they should all go the same direction.

Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I find there is something realy weird about the damage on this tag.... I cant really say what though.

Bullet came from the back-side. It's hard to describe is this tag really came from grave. For example I've got a ss buckle with a bullet hole and I'm more then sure that it wasn't found in or around the grave. Conclusion?

I am pretty sure the damage isnt made by a bullet. To me it could be shrapnel, but it looks so strange I wonder if it is maybe fake damage to make this common tag more interesting?
Do you know anything about the origins of this tag?

All i know this dog tag was found in Belarus, where i bought it. I doubt that it was shot in purpose to make it more valueble coz i bought it for a pretty reasonable price.
