Soldbuch 15 Pz Div. Up for Discussion

    Hello
here is a soldbuch for a pz gren belonging to the 15 pz div. and wound badge in black document. A forum member asked me to show this for comments and discussion. Seems completely original to me.

Very worn condition. Cover seperated, no photo , some loose pages. I believe this man was wounded by Monte Cassino and then participated in the Ardennes offensive.

Hmmm, the last entry I see is around September '44. What makes you think he participated in the Ardennes?

I see no red flags in this Soldbuch.
Sorry to see - as mentioned - that the photo is removed.

Panzer Grenadier Regiment 115 of the 15.Panzer Grenadier Division fought as part of 5.Panzer Armee in the Ardennes 1944-1945, but from only the information in this Soldbuch one can not know for sure, ofcourse there is a large possibility that this man fought with his unit there.

                        yours friendly

Well I looked it up just now on Lexicon der Wehrmacht and Axis History Factbook. The 15 pz gr. div. was located in the Ardennes.

His last unit is pz gr. rgt 115, sept. 44', located on the western front. Lack of additional entries after that date doesn't mean he left his unit.

Looking closely on his shot record, is a date of 10-8-45 , written in pencil for typhus.

I don't know pz gren rgt. 115 unit history, maybe it was held back?
