    Feldpost Number Identification help

    Hello everyone.
I was looking over a gasmask canister and I remembered it had feldpost number painted on the inside. I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher it. I'll write everything that is written on the replacement lens cover.

IV/30 - would this mean IV company of the 30 regiment?
    Amd.
    Feldhaüser
    L.42842

and as an interesting note on the bottom of the canister there is a name written, well actually two, one is in paint and the other with faded pencil.
The painted one is Kühn Hubert, and the pencil one I believe says Lotte Feldhaüser.

Clearly this cannister was reused and Kühn Hubert, possibly both belonging to the same unit?

    Thanks for any help
    -Patrick

Thank you very much for that. Out of curiosity where does one find what feldpost number belongs to which regiment etc?
      Thanks

There's a program on disk that has them...it's about 12mb big, I think.

Sometimes just by googling you can also find 'em. But that also takes a bit of luck for many.
