Great convolute

What I like most is the wrapper the NCO wears on the soldbuch-picture.
He was a "Schirrmeister" in a light-infantry unit - where did he get this uniform?

Experienced NCOs always find a way to get the good stuff...

Well a Schirrmeister would have been one of the guys that controlled the issue of uniform items.

In any case, as i mentioned before in the other thread. The 1 Skijäger brigade were issued sturmartillerie uniforms and fallschirmjäger helmets amongst other things.

The choice of uniform isn't too surprising. The jacket design i understand was based on a civilian ski jacket design. Also, in 1943, the sturmartillerie uniform was on general troop trials as a new field uniform for the army.
