    Soldbuch U-Jagd

    Hello

    Here is a soldbuch to a sailor who served with the 22 U-Jagdflottilla. Looks like he served aboard 2 or 3 ships. I am guessing in the Mediterranean Sea.

    This is only my third Kreigsmarine soldbuch and I am not familiar with all the info inside one. It would be great to know if he saw any action.

                      On page 29 it seems that he has written down the private ddresses of about 10 comrades.

                        I checked and found that the address (on page 29) of

                        "Sindlinger, Mötzingen, Kreis Böblingen, Vollmaringer Str. 17",

                        still exists.

                          HIs vacation from 12 June 44 to 7 July 44 was cancelled due to some sort of action. No telling what...he also has wound badge in black and Minensuch-, U-jagd-, and Sicherungs badge. So he most likely saw some sort of action. Looks like he spent some time with a light anti-aircraft unit.

                          All in all, really a nice book.

                          Edit: He was also approved to receive the Führer Geschenk Paket on 24 July 44, so it appears his vacation was approved later in July.
                          Edit 2: On page 13, in red writing, it says "a number of clothing items lost due to enemy action". So he received a number of new items, notated below that.
