    Necker:

Please ask the purchaser exactly what he would like to discuss in regards to this Wehrpass.

It is a solid, unquestionable original example that has not been "enhanced" or "modified" in any way whatsoever.

      Hello Hundestaffel

I think the buyer is not that experienced. He just want's to know if the pas is oke or not. It doesn't matter, we all have to start somewhere.

He is on holiday today and comes back I think in two weeks, so I cannot ask him directly.

For now: thank you for your positive input Hundestaffel!

Absolutely no problem with the new owner being somewhat inexperienced in KL - I fully understand his concern(s) that he wants to be assured all is correct with the Wehrpass.

Hopefully a few others fellows with KL ID experience will add their opinions to this thread....

*** Necker: You can be assured that these two fellows knew each other and "worked" together....

Good, honest WP from a late KZ guard.
At the second half of 1944, a lot of the younger SS guards in the camps were used as front line soldiers and their places were taken in by older men, like this one, to replace them.

No problem and a nice buy

            Hello Hundestaffel and Nico

And here are also his former "friends":

I managed to buy these passes at the beginning when they came on the market. I could pick from 30 passes and picked these one out:

            - Schneider served in several Schutzen Kompanies and Bataljons. In december 1944 he joined Mittelbau and in january 1945 Sachsenhausen. Large history of illnesses
            - Rathe came from the FLAK, joined in july/august 1944 Kampfmarschverband Kurmark and came in Sachsenhausen in august 1944
            - Fritsche is IMO the most interesting. First he was in several Luftwaffe Baukompanien, then the Luftwaffe Felddivision 5, Feldjagerregiment 3, Sonderinspector II (Jagerstab) Nordhausen, september 1944 Wachkommando Mittelbau and january 1945 Sachsenhausen.

No one of these guys had earned a medal. "Save the best for last.........."

If I'm quite right, there came a group onto the market some years ago.
Some more indeed more interesting than others, but all were good.
I'm quite sure they got 'liberated' out some (russian?) archives.

I have a WP in my possesion from a SS soldier who was with the 4th Polizei Division on the Leningrad front, got wounded and afterwards transfered to KZ Neuengamme and afterwards also to Sachsenhausen.

Do you have some other examples for sale, Necker?

I am sorry, Nico, this one is the only one for sale.

The other one's I keep in my own collection. They were not rare when I bought them, but I think they become rarer in time.

They came indeed from Russian archives, as some of the passes have Russian signs on the front page.

It is a strange market....not everybody likes these passes from the 'Dark Side 'of the TR....
But I like to collect them, since they are a part of our European history.

They will become scarcer, but I doubt actually that these (late) Sachenhausen Wp's will become rare. Maybe within some years....could be.

                  best,
                  Nico
