    Thanks, G-man.

There are a few SS-General's Ausweis in there (one who committed suicide post-war to avoid being prosecuted by the Russians), a SS-RKT KIA Normandy '44 Ausweis and doc grouping, and also a SS-Ausweis to a Standartenführer who was kicked out of the SS by Himmler himself (I have copies of the correspondence between the two of them, in one of which Himmler demands that he return his SS-Ausweis - this very Ausweis!)

So, while I may be lacking a cherry, I do have some nuts and sprinkles

I thought I would snap a few photos of some of my collection. I like to put each of my Soldbuecher/Wehrpaesse in a special size riker mount. Some of them I display on a plastic stand, and others are in my "holy case," where I have examples of the awards and insignia that each soldier wore.

                Very nice Barry,

Thanks for showing your items, in particular I like the Hermann Goring Div. NCO with the regulation removed color patches very nice.

                Cheers

Nice displays everyone. Paper documents really tell the story behind the individual. If people are worried about damage to light I suggest UV resistant glass (which filters out 99% of the UV) and UV light filters which slip right over fluorescent lights (used by alot of museums). No reason why one can't enjoy their collectibles in the open and preserve them also.
Barry: Nice DAK soldbuch. Do you have a thread on it?

Thankx Barry - the scans of your collection just made the pride in my own collection, along with my personal self-esteem, completely and utterly plummet.

Anyone wanna' see my Beenie-Baby collection ??? How about my jar of Marbles ???

As for your collection Robert, it sent me limping back to my doghouse, humiliated and embarrassed.

Do you have some sort of magical Lava Lamp in your basement that leads you to such material ?? A Printing PreSS ???

                              Hundestaffel,

Please! If you posted some pictures of your collection I'm sure you'd have many collectors drooling all over their keyboards Having actually seen just a portion of what you own, you truly are one of the most humble individuals I know.

Thanks for the complements, though. Much appreciated my friend
