* 26.8.1939 in the Wehrkreis XI with RAD personal, later replaced by Wehrmacht personal; 10.5.1943 formation of a 7th (armenian) coy. (This coy was later integrated as 4th coy); renamed into Baupionier-Bataillon 257 at 19.8.1943.


2. assumption:

Heerestruppe: Westen
1941 eastern front
1942 under comand of 18. Armee, Heeresgruppe Nord
1945 Kurland, later on at the Oder river.


3. replacement:

11 Zerbst, Halberstadt, Wehrkreis XI
