Hi I thought I would share a soldbuch belonging to a Luftwaffe man who served in Normandy and the Ardennes Offensive.
He served with Luft, Nach. Rgt 1 supporting the invasion of France. He received the WestWall Award. He later was transfered to East Prussia supporting Heers Group Nord during the invasion of the Soviet Union. He received a replacement soldbuch in 1942. In 1943 he spent several months in Holland with his new Nach. unit building the 16th Luftwaffe Division. W
With the invasion of France by the Allies, he found his division transferred to the Heer and in Normandy. The 16th found itself all but destroyed near Caen with the 21 PZ Div and the 12 SS Div. In Sept. 1944 he was transfered to PZ Armee Nch. Rgt 6. He spent the rest of the war on the West Front with PZ K.N.A. 447. No other wards entered.
