    Recent purchase....inexpensive decent little group!

I saw this recently on a German auction site and was interested in it immediately, not only for the price but the awards, entries and what came with it!

1.7.1942 promoted to Unteroffizier for bravery in front of the enemy.

Awarded EK II 5.9.1940, EK I 21.7.1942 and Wound Badge in Black 15.8.1942. Interestingly, no Infantry Assault Badge!

Usual briefs on secrecy, sabotage etc. prior to discharge.

Severe war wounded card. This style does not give the level of injury like the others I have seen!

                          Ian:

Great little set - I especially like the "oversize" Wehrmeldeamt stamp on page 41.....

Very nice Ian. I especially like the Oberkommando des Heeres Ausweis.

I think the unusual stamp is actually the type used for wax seals as opposed to ink, hence the strange look.

Looking again, you are definitely correct Graham !!! The size and manufacture style are a dead giveaway (completely missed that on first glance - pass me the "Dunce Hat, please !!!).....quite a unique way to use a "Wax Seal" Stamp....
