I have just rediscovered a Soldbuch which sits here in a drawer for a long
time. I never cared for it because it is nothing special (Zweitschrift).
But today I noticed that the picture of the soldier is somehow colored - at least
parts of it. I think it was done manually as most of the picture is black and
white - but as far as I can see the surface gives no trace of a manual coloring so
the color must have been part of the production process of the picture.

oes anyone know more about this type of coloring? Or do you have
similar Soldbuch pictures? I can't remember seeing such a thing
time. I never cared for it because it is nothing special (Zweitschrift).
