Erkennungsmarke Stab/WRF

Hi all!
I have a Erkennungsmarke question. Part of the tag reads "Stab/WRF".
Stab is self explanatory but what does WRF mean? Anyone who knows this one?

WRF normally is the abbreviation for "Werfer" (like mortar)

I agree WRF usually means Werfer.
But it doesent make sense to me.
The tag reads more precisely:

STAB/WRF. PZ. GREN. DIV. 11

A mortar team in the stab?
Should have been more precise from post nr one!
