    Interesting small grouping!
Do you have more of this man?

    Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 16 was part of the 16.Infanterie-Division.
In 1940 the 16.Infanterie-Division was regrouped to the 16.Panzer-division.
On that same time there also came a new 16.Infanterie-Division(mot).
    Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 16 changed in 1940 to Panzerjäger-Abteilung 16.

    Panzerjäger-Abteilung 16 was part of the 16.Panzer-division.
In 1943 the Panzerjäger-Abteilung 16 was destroyed at Stalingrad, however your man would never see Stalingrad, as he died in September 1941 during the heavy fightings around Kiew:

    Nachname: Runser
    Vorname: Wilfired
    Dienstgrad: Oberfeldwebel
    Geburtsdatum: 18.09.1915
    Geburtsort: Lüneburg
    Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 01.08.1941
    Todes-/Vermisstenort:

Wilfired Runser ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Hamm (Bundesrepublik Deutschland) .
    Endgrablage: Block 1 Reihe 1 Grab 1

Hope this extra information helps you!

Such a shame to find that out. That deffinatly is the sobering part of this field of collecting.

I unfortunatly do not have any more on this soldier. When I bought this small grouping I was told that his Wherpass and Soldbuch was literally sold the day before. I don't think groupings should be split up forever.

      Thank you very much again

Just noticed his grave position Row 1 Block 1 Place 1, would be very easy to find if I ever go to the area Hamm.

I wonder if its the right thing to do, to go and pay respects if your in the area?

The medal would appear to be a long service award 4th class for 4 years service with the Wehrmacht.

He is wearing a Waffenrock or parade uniform jacket with the rank of Unteroffizier (Corporal/Lance Sergeant).

It shows to page 2 that he was qualified to drive 1 (motorcycle), 2 truck (over 3½ ton) and 3 (car or truck less than 3½ ton). To the rear class 2 half tracked vehicles up to 10 ton.

The yellow license is an instructors license for class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles.
