Is it an original Luftschutz dog tag?
2nd. Company, Battallion 307 ? If not, correct me please.
What is "A" and "511", or what does them mean?
With this info, is it possible to research the records of the person?

The dogtag is not from Luftschutz (Air defence), it is from Landesschützen Bataillon 307.



Here are some infos in german:

Landesschützen-Bataillon 307

1. Aufstellung:

* 1.4.1940 durch Umbenennung des Landesschützen-Bataillons VII/III (*26.8.1939 in Jüterbog,
Wehrkreis III); 20.2.1941 Abgabe der 1. und 3. Kompanie als 4./345 und 4./347; sie wurden durch
3./348 und 5./334 ersetzt; Sicherungs-Bataillon 307 seit Juli 1944; nach starken Verlusten 1945
aufgelöst; Reste zum neuen Bataillon. Neubildung April 1945 aus III./Sicherungs-Regiment 37
(früher Landesschützen 669, Wehrkreis X).


2. Unterstellung:

Wehrkreis III, Division 403 Luckenwalde; 24.7.1941 Wehrmachtbefehlshaber Ostland in Schaulen,
Mietau; 1944 Lettland, Kurland, zuletzt bei der 24. Infanterie-Division

Landesschützrm arer old mens guards. Mostly thy were POW guards in the inner Reich !


1.) deployment

20.2.1941 levy of the 1.st and 3.rd coy as 4.th/345 und 4.th/347;
replaced with 3.rd/348 and 5.th/334; renamed in Sicherungs-Bataillon 307 in July 1944; dissolved after heavy losses in 1945 ; rest of troops are used for building a new bataillon. Rebuilding in April 1945 out of III./Sicherungs-Regiment 37 (former Landesschützen 669, Wehrkreis X).
