Dieppe related wehrpasses can usually be picked up from dealers on the cheap if you can find them...most don't know that 302 ID was the main German unit and don't bother to read the campaign entries. I picked up a few like that.

Another desirable action that dealers usually miss is May 1940 WPs to units of 22. LL ID (notably IR16, IR65) who took part in the Holland air assault. I got three cheap from Weitze himself over the years. Of course not all sub-units and personnel of this division took part in the actual fighting but this is usually noted in the campaign section. A give away as to whether the soldier saw action in Holland is the awarding of an EK2 in May\June 1940.

Indeed, most dealer's focus more so on the Award entries rather than the Unit entries which can (and often is) be quite beneficial to the collector.

A few short months ago, some lucky soul scored nicely (and cheaply) in this repect in regards to a superb "Caen" related Wehrpass posted on a "well-known" dealers site.
