          Hello,

Here's a recently acquired WP from a member of 2./Feld Ers. Btl. "Afrika". He then joined 4./ Le. Inf. Rgt. 361.

          Enjoy!

To me looks like he was wounded and treated by FP Nr.:

            FP Nr. 16001 - 2. Sanitäts-Kompanie, Armee-Sanitäts-Abteilung 572

Then killed in action 10.8.1943 with 4 Kp. Pz.Gren.Rgt.25 in Russia!

That FP Nr. in the stamp is 16167

                (Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) Stab Infanterie-Regiment 25
                (28.4.1940-14.9.1940) Stab F u. 1.-4. Kompanie Infanterie-Regiment 25,
                (15.9.1940-31.1.1941) Stab I u. 1.-5. Kompanie Schützen-Regiment 25,
                (27.1.1942-14.7.1942) Stab I u. 1.-4. Kompanie Schützen-Regiment 25 dann Stab I u. 1.-4. Kompanie Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25,
                (24.3.1944-6.11.1944) 12.6.1944 Stab I u. 1.-4. Kompanie u. Versorgungs-Kompanie I Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25

Which was part of 12 Panzer Division...not Italy!

The previous FP Nr. is what I said.

Nice wehrpass with El Alamein entry Christopher.
What made you believe he was KIA in Italy, since the "gefallen" entry clearly states Russland?

                      Hi,

Thank you very much for the compliment! Don't know why I wrote "Italy". Had gnocchi last night??? My mistake.

Here's another neat Afrikakorps (Tobruk) video:

                        Hello friends.
                        Help decipher abbreviation on stamps.
They are lubricated and I can not make out what it says.
Interested in stamps for the period:

                        1) 28.07.42 - 30.09.42

                        2) 01.10.42 - 23-11.42

                        3) 24.11.42 - 26.11.42
