Shaking the can... are there any other Warsaw Uprising 1944 related items out there?

Not really researched this but Gefreiter Wilhelm Reddehase was a member of 2 Kompanie, Landesschützen Bataillon 997 and was killed in Warsaw 10.9.1944.

Landesschützen-Bataillon 997 was formed 5.7.1941 in Generalgouvernement . The Bataillon was formed from II. Bataillon, Wach-Regiment Warschau with 3 Companies which was formed on 13.6.1941. The Battalion was deployed further in the Warsaw area, in Generalgouvernement. In 1945 the Battalion was deployed in West Prussia with 251 Infanterie Division.

Thanks to all which were participating in this great thread with very interesting docs and infos !

I hope it's not to late to add some infos, regarding the career of Major Max Reck :
- He is mentioned in the Wehrmachtbericht of 24.9.1944, which was regarded a great honor
- I am also interested into his career, because he became the last Kdr. of Inf.Ers.Rgt. 416 :
Major (Max) Reck replaced Oberst Norkus [in Osnabrück] as Kommandeur of Inf.Ers.Rgt 416
(according to a statement of Maj. Reck from ~12.3.45 onward).
He had led III./Gren.Rgt. 58 at some time and was on a Regimentsführerlehrgang from Dec. 44 - Feb. 45.
After that, he distinguished himself, when leading a reargard unit in the area of Brieg-Schweidnitz,
where he was wounded.

From ~mid March 1945 onward, he was also appointed Stadtkommandant of Osnabrück.
After it became obvious, that defending the city was not possible due to a total lack of troops,
he left the city with a battlegroup of about 18 men on the 3.4.45, fought his way through the
enemy lines to Bassum and then to Wildeshausen. There he made contact with the Div.Nr. 471 and was
immediately appointed leader of a battlegroup.

Div.Nr. 471 was a replacement division of WK XI and was sent to the front during Aktion Leuthen,

from 23.3.45 onward. During the following days, the division was torn apart. The HQ of the division,
under Kdr. Generalleutnant Ernst Haeckel, arrived at the area of Wildeshausen (40km SW of Bremen,
close to Cloppenburg and Vechta) around 14.4.45.

This could explain the last award entry, next to p. 22 in the Soldbuch!

I hope this adds some useful info on his certainly outstanding career. It would be great of course,
if you find the time to post excerpts of his service records (I assume others would be interested as well ).

I also have copies of his entire service record if there is interest in my posting it.
