Very Nice Wehrpass, Doktor HugheSS !!!
One of the (many) duties these "R" fellows had was detecting pulmonary diseases in slave Laborers, etc., who were to be sent to work in Armament Factories, etc. I'm sure this fellow did his fair share of scooping terrified innocents off of Polish streets, screening them, and sending them off to their unfortunate fates....
hucks216:
I owned that "Grossaktion" Dienstpass for many years, and have it fully researched. III SS Police Rgt 23 performed "security" duties in the last days of the 1943 Warsaw Jewish Ghetto Uprising. It is really a superb and rare ID.

Superb WARSAW related material here Gentlemen......one outstanding piece after another.....
Not long ago (maybe 3 years ago), I owned an SS Soldbuch (and matching SS Drivers License) named to "Josef Posch", who was WIA in a Night Battle on (if I remember correctly) the second last night of the 1943 Warsaw Jewish Ghetto Uprising. Posch is mentioned by name in "The Stroop Report". I sold that Soldbuch / License (and accompanying research which I did) to Bill Shea, who had no trouble moving it on himself. Would the (lucky) owner of that Soldbuch possibly be reading this ??? If so, posts of that Soldbuch would be a great addition to this thread.....

*** Further to the above, when I was researching Posch (3 or 4 years ago) I was able to contact a relative of Posch who mentioned that Josef was indeed still alive (at that time). I was in contact with this relative twice expressing my desire to hear directly from Josef himself, but then for whatever reason(s), the relative ceased all communication and refused to answer any more of my e-mails or letters. A real shame......history lost......Last edited by Hundestaffel; 04-26-2009, 02:27 PM.

WOW! Great stuff guys, this is exactly the type of material I had hoped to see.I have to admit I have not been active on the forum for some time, but am on it almost everyday now. This sharing of knowledge and material makes the hobby so much more rewarding!
Thanks for the posting Stormfighter!
It is amazing what people have. I don't get out as much as I used to (they keep me under lock and key, much like Hannibal Lecter) as an aside, last year I took a road trip with a buddy down to a miliatry vehicle convention. One of the evenings waas spent a fellow collectors house, this fellow had a barn packed full of his material (sorry no soldbuchs). I could'nt believe my eyes when I spied a goliath! That would make a nice addition to the Soldbuch posted
You never know what you will find!
Cheers

Hello to all,
Haughtiness presented documents ! Barry, thank your contact for the presentation of this rare document for the Pz. Abt. (FKL) 302 and 303.
Here is my contribution : Wehrpass Sich. Rgt. 608. The page 12 of this document seems harmless for the one that do not want to make little of research... You will understand better by examining the second document
Cordial greetings.

I have a Soldbuch and Ehrenblatt for a relative, Major Max Reck, who was in charge of Kampfgruppe Reck, under "Kampfgruppe Reinefarth." He was awarded the DKiG for his role in this battle. I will post what I have later tonight or tomorrow. I just want to bring this to the top so I will be able to find it again when I am available to post.
