    SS documents

    Hi
We all have seen SS documents mostly Soldbuch`s or certificates for being promoted ...so I just wanted to show you some other documents out of a grouping I received direct from the family of an SS officer I personally knew for years. Thanks god he saved all his military documents, from the very first promotion until he was released as POW...
Especially I love his papers from the time he was a trainée at the SS Junkerschule Braunschweig and he collected all his notes, exams...
Nevertheless let`s start with an early document.
    Regards Stephan

            Nice "Oberbayern" documents...

Did the grouping happen to include any of his SS-Ausweise?

Great "Ehrenwinkel" entry. Does the Soldbuch happen to have his photo in it? What are the other award entries on page 29?

I know what you mean about these SS files... Not only are they extremely difficult to acquire, but it's very interesting to flip through the documents in sequential order and trace their careers; their application and acceptance into the SS, which units they served with, where they fought during the war, etc. I have a few files myself, including one to a NCO who also served in SS-Division "Nord." He was KIA in Feb.1945. It's great you were able to get these documents directly from the vet himself, and you have the added bonus of having known and spoken with him. You can't put a price on that.

Nice docs. Thanks for sharing them with us, and please feel free to post more images of the Soldbuch

Yes Rob, Foto included and Page 29 shows his Nahkampfspange I. Stufe, EK I, Verwundetenabz. in schwarz, nothing special..
Again for me all his personal Junkerschule documents are much more important as military basic theory (tactics, applied instructions...) hasn`t changed too much until nowerdays.

For me this is talking history

Hello. I know that this is an older thread but nevertheless a very nice grouping. Are those "Junkerschule" documents rare?

                          Regards, Matthias
