Very nice. I like the PAB in silver and EKII for the 1940 campaign in France.

Any other awards listed besides those you have shown? Any mention of him receiving any tropical gear?

Nice Soldbuch. Is there a portrait photo inside the front cover? Can you show us pages 01, 02-03, 04 and 17?

Is there a sheet listing the Einsatztage qualifying him for the PAB25?

      Thanks,
      Rob
      Rob,

Here is a scan for you. The Soldbuch has only half of the foto attached. The guy was a Kursk veteran, and the combat sheets (wehrpass style) are present for the whole 1939 - 1944 campaigns.

There are no sheets present for the PAB25.

More pages will be shown as soon as I scan them.

As per the vehicle allocation, I am interested in the 1943 - 1945 period.

      Cheers,

      Alex

          Alex,

For Kursk, my guess would be Panzer IIs and IIIs. At the start of the Operation Zitadelle, Pz.Rgt.6 (3.Pz.Div) listed 7 Panzer IIs, 59 Panzer IIIs and 23 Panzer IVs in its inventory. The regiment was set up with 3 leichte Kompanies (Panzer III) and one medium (Panzer IV) Kompanie (4./)

By December 1943, Pz.Rgt.6 had been outfitted with Panthers. As you probably already know, I./Pz.Rgt.6 was used to form the I./Panzer-Lehr Division...

Looking forward to seeing scans of the rest of the Soldbuch.

          Rob

            Hello,

He received his equipment issue on March 13, 1940, as evidenced by his kit issue page.

Interesting history, particularly if he fought at the battle of Kursk with Panzer Rgt. 28 (18th Pzr. Div.).

                      Here's an accompanying postcard.

I have a wehrpass to a former member of the DAK's Pzr. Rgt. 5 who had been wounded, evacuated and then joined I./Pzr.-Lehr.
