    Colourful Fleiger Soldbuch

    Guys

I came across this soldbuch that I thought interesting. As you can see, starts of as a fleiger and in KG 53 (Legion Condor) then goes to KG 4 (General Wever) where he wins all his gongs.

Later it looks like he transfers to FJ and lastly to Sturmgeschütz Brigade 341!

Can you cast an eye over it to see if it's all plausable?

    There's 6 pictures to follow

          5. Awards.
Under the awards are a few entries that I don't understand... in the red box it looks relate to pay? What is in the blue?

              Fliegerzulage = flying pay

I think the other things may be allowances for special expenses (compassionate leave?). Just a guess, really.

                    Rich,

Did you buy this from Olaf?

Page 8 includes numerous issues of soap, a bayonet, decontamination powder, winter flying helmet, a gasmask with equipment, gas cape with bag.

The red box shows service pay (Wehrsold) and flying pay (Fliegerzulage). Depending on your rank, depended on what you received.....I think I posted a basic.
Also leave allowance for the year 1943/44

Same with the scan, leave allowance for the year 1942/43, marching rations (M. Verpflegung)....top entry looks like front pay (Frontzulage).

                    /Ian

                      Guys

Many thanks for your input and expertise on translating these scrawls!!

One thing I thought odd was that although the gold class flight clasp has been obtained (in 1943) he never received the Ehrenpokal. I had thought that it was awarded based on accumulation of combat flights so certainly gold would have qualified him or am I misunderstanding the award criteria for the ehrenpokal?

I also make a mistake...he earned his gongs with Legion Condor before he transferred to General Wever.
