Very interesting piece of History U Boat "U38"

Hello

I buy this Wehrpass in the morning and by my first look the was nothing importan on it , but I re search a little bit on Google and I find it very interesting

The man drive on the Uboat U38 in the First World War from 1916-1917 , this Boat was nay from the honest Boats in the German U boat List .The Commander was Max Valentiner and I hope ypu like the photos

Hi Thomas,

Your man did have a very interesting uboat career.
In world war I an EK1 was a very high award and he did earn that award at a low rank.
He served on two very interesting submarines.
136 !!!! ships sunk by U-38 and 24 ships by UB-105, so sure your man saw a lot of combat action.
Even Wilhelm Canaris (yes that man) served as CO on U-38 for a couple of months on U-38.
