opinion please abot a very late (april-45) issued soldbuch

    Hi guy's

I would appreciate you comments about this soldbuch.
It is a "zweitschrift" and issued on 1 april 1945 !!!.
I have a few doubts about this one:

As you can see the picture which is in this soldbuch has been used before.
It cannot be from his previous soldbuch because it was lost that's why he had this "zweitschrift" It cannot be from his wehrpass otherwise it should have 2 wholes from the staples.

Have a look at the awards please.
Normally after every entry there should be a stamp and a signature.
This one has 5 entries. First 2 with pencil ,than 2 with a pen and then 1 with pencil again and in total just 1 signature and 1 stamp ??

Is this all correct ?? I would like to purchase this one but I would like to be sure if this soldbuch is 100% authentic

    Thanks in advance

    Marcel

            Hi Marcel,

Images of the other filled in pages of the Soldbuch are most welcome here to say more about the booklet you are interested in..

And as Ian mentioned earlier that EK 1 entry is a later - postwar edit version to the Soldbuch.

            yours friendly

First of all thanks for your replies.
I also thought that the EK1 entrie is postwar.
                I have no more pictures.
What do you guy's think about the picture ??
What would be the value ??

                    Marcel,

Multiple award entries with a single signature and stamp in a soldbuch arent unusual ,so i wouldnt expect every award entry to have a signature and stamp on every line.
In the case of wehrpass its common to see award entries entered without signature or stamp.

In the case of this EK1,it looks post war added

With the Soldbuch being altered or having later (fake!) entries, the value is effected dramatically.

It depends then what you want to do with the Soldbuch as it will be difficult to sell in the future.

If he was from a rare unit or had rare awards then people can live with that. This guy unfortunately does not fit into either category!

                      /Ian

If only the EK1 entry is fake then it is not bad at all.
I would like to have it in my own collection because it is a late war issued soldbuch.
The price is 50.00 euro's which is IMO a cheap price.
That is one of the reasons I have put this one under discussion.
Maybe it is possible to erase the EK-1 entry because it has been done with a pencil.

, ofcourse you can do that, but use a soft type eraser (zachte stuf, geen harde of ruwe).

I'd question all the award entries, as the feldpostnummer isn't the same as the photo stamps. These would have normally been done at the same time. We would need to see who signed on page two when the book was issued.
