Kriegsmairne FPN 50 471

Hi,

I need to know the Kriegsmarine unit with FPN M 50 471 in 1944 and 1945. The individual concerned indicates in his diary he was transferred from a Naval Kurheim in Weilerbach to 1/7. K.L.A. in Danzig in August of 1944. Also, can anyone unscramble K.L.A. for me? Thanks in advance !!!!

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it. Just a two more questionS: if the FPN was stricken in August of 1944, then would the K.L.A. he served with in Danzig have had a different FPN? Would that K.L.A. have been a part of U-Boat Flotilla 8. stationed in Danzig? And secondly, what is u. B. d. U.? I have this guy's diary so I'm trying to get all the information about his duty stations I can. Thanks again!

B.D.U. = Befehlshaber dr U-Boote = U-Boot High Command. The 'u' may be for unter by i am not sure.
