Interesting, I used to have this guys Soldbuch and sold it some 5 years ago or so!

                Soldbuch to Uffz. Heinrich Kotter.

Issued 15.10.1939. After training he served with 2 (Fern) Staffel, Aufklärungs Gruppe 22, 1941 in Norway (Stavanger-Sola, 8.40 - 4.41 (Ju 88), Rumania (Pufesti, 6.41, Bacau, 7.41). 16.7.1941 he suffered bullet wounds and convalesced until 8.11.1842 when he returned to his unit now in Russia (Charkow, 11.42 - 3.43, Stalino, 4.43 - 8.43).
8.5.1943 he did not return from an enemy sortie against the Soviet Union in the Woronesh area and was listed as missing in action.
Awards include 12.7.1941 Wound Badge in Black, 20.1.1942 Air Gunner’s Badge, 12.2.1942 Iron Cross 2nd Class, 31.12.1942 Operational Flying Clasp in Bronze, 30.1.1943, Iron Cross 1st Class, 21.3.1943 Operational Flying Clasp in Silver.
Issued his own pistol, has numerous appendix on first aid in warm climates, war gas, first aid and cold injuries. Exceptionally well filled in!

It would be nice if the current owner of the Soldbuch decided to part or to buy the wehrpass and unify the group then!

                    Like Ian,

I to owned the Soldbuch to this group only a few short months ago. I'm trying to rack my brain trying to remember who purchased it from me.

When it does come to the top of my beer soaked kopf I'll try to get both parties together to decide which, if either, wants to reunite the group.

The Soldbuch did have a xerox copy of the Wehrpas.

                    Jeremy

                      Hey guys,
                      The Soldbuch is now mine.
As Ian mentioned he went missing on a recon. flight in the Kursk area a couple of months before the big attack.
Guess hes in a unmarked grave.

In the list of the Volksbund Heinrich Kotter is still listed as MIA in the "Woronesch Gebiet"

                          (Woronesch area) since 1.5.1943.

He is of course listed in the DRK Vermisstenbildliste of which I will try and post later.

I wanted to explain/confirm with the Volksbund listing that his body is still missing and his grave is not known.
