E.Pol dog tag

Hello,

I have this dog tag but don't know what is this unit?? Except of course that they are MG unit!
Any help will be really apreciated!

Looks like Polizei-Schützen Regiment 2, which belonged to the SS from 1941 til the end of the war. (SS-Polizeidivision)

I´ll have to take a look in a book, but time´s short now -so I can only give you that link down below without finding a safe definition for the "E". Could be "Estonian" as there was a Polizei unit built from Estonians, -however, just an idea.

Nice and original dogtag !

It is not directly from Polizei Schützen Regiment 2.

The dogtag belongs to: 4. (MG) Kompanie / Ersatz-Bataillon Polizei-Schützen- Regiment 2

(4th (MG) coy of the replacement battallion of Polizei-Schützen- Regiment 2)



Ersatz Bataillon Polizei Schützen Regiment 2:

Buildup at 1.10.1939 in Wohlau (Silesia)
In April 1941 transferred to Roermond (Netherlands) later to s'Hertogenbosch (Netherlands)

These unit made the basic training for the replacement of the Polizei Schützen Regiment 2. That`s all !
