Hmm, tried a couple others (38109, 38104, 38704, 38709) and they don't match either, as far as being LW....

Thanks for your kind help Hank. The exterior paint is in my opinion likely a Panzer Grenadier unit but it could be a Flak unit as well, just going by period photos. I can't think of any other combinations of numbers other than what you have tried. Thanks for your help in this. I really appreciate your efforts. Is there one resource or book that stands out as a Feldpost reference over others? -FrankComment

There are a number of books in the "Pinned Threads" at the top of this forum. There are a couple mentioned there that are very good - albeit sometimes hard to find or expensive when you do find them.
