    What does OwKw stand for?

    Hello guys,
I've find the following trophy with OwKw abbreviation but I have not been able to find anywhere what it means. Could you help me? Thanks
    Val

The abbreviation OwKw should belong to a company because "Gefolgschaft" (followers) are called all members of the company.

Gerdan, I'read on the "German Military Dictionary" that "gefolgschaft" means " collective term for subordinate officers and/or enlisted personnel".

"Gefolgschaft" is more a word to define the collective of all private companies. The boss of such a private company was named "Gefolgschaftsführer".

It is also a definition for a military collective system - but only in second line.

I forgot to tell that also in the Hitlerjugend "Gefolgschaft" was a group/unit of about 130 - 200 young boys (age 14- 18 years).

May be this object was given to a leader of a Hitlerjugend - Gefolgschaft? I think it's possible.

Could it also be an allusion to Wehrmachtgefloge, civilian personnel or employees attached to the Armed Forces?

It certainly is a HJ term so maybe the OwKw refers to a district or region or maybe to a specific HJ troop?

Hi Val, have you had the SS cap eagle looked at?

I have real concerns about it.

                Cheers, Ade.

Gefolgschaft hin, Gefolgschaft her... They all chipped in and got a WHOLE cap eagle for a wedding gift... Or is there more? Otherwise, not very convincing...

Hi Ade, the SS cap has gone back to the seller. Val

                        I will try a translation:

                        For the wedding
                        (dedicated) by the Gefolgschaft OwKw.
